Decorated with a delicate raised floral pattern around the base of the butter crock, this Butter Bell crock style was first introduced in 1996, and is one of our most popular patterns to date! Conveniently sized crock holds one stick of butter, the equivalent of one-half cup, and fits neatly on your countertop as a stylish accent to any decor.
The method of manufacturing for this raised relief pattern is called slip casting. Liquid clay (new bone china) is poured into a pre-cast plaster mold, then it is allowed to set for several hours, and when dry, it is carefully removed from the mold and glazed in white. The crocks are then fired at a very high temperature - and the end result - is a beautiful butter bell crock.
Dishwasher safe, free of lead and cadmium.
